The expansion adds 36 new multifunctional cards, including two new tree species along with Alpine wildlife designed to blend into your existing Forest Shuffle deck. New top/bottom cards plus left/right cards create fresh opportunities for building combinations, giving you more ways to develop your forest while adapting to the changing cards around you.
 
Every Alpine card carries a distinct marking, making it easy to mix the expansion into the base game or remove it whenever you choose. Some cards also introduce subtle twists to familiar rules, with the included guide explaining how their effects interact with existing cards, scoring conditions as well as available slots.
 
As with the base game, you'll need to judge carefully which species are worth attracting to your forest. The number of cards used can also vary depending on player count, keeping the available card pool balanced while adding more uncertainty to each game.
