The game begins with nine Ingredient cards arranged in a 3x3 grid, using a mixture of face-up and face-down cards. On your turn, choose a row or column with your wand, then flip every card in that line. You collect the face-up ingredients you reveal this gives you a constantly changing supply to work with.
 
At the end of your turn, use your ingredients to brew potions. You can create as many as your collection allows, while any unused ingredients remain available for a future turn. The key is spotting which rows or columns can provide the combinations you need without handing a perfect haul to another player.
 
It is a race to brew three potions, or four potions in a two-player game. Every turn can shift the grid dramatically making Potion Express an engaging mix of set collection, tactical planning and light push-your-luck.
