Following the events of Gloomhaven plus Forgotten Circles, you play a would-be hero who has been magically reduced to the size of a mouse after a disastrous attempt to visit the mysterious Aesther recluse Hail. Now trapped in a miniature world filled with monsters, danger and chaos, your only hope is to reach the Crooked Bone and convince Hail to restore you to your normal size.
 
Each scenario fits onto a single card, combining the map, story as well as the objectives into one compact adventure. Choose your mercenary, prepare for battle, then plan each round by playing two cards from your hand. Your four double-sided ability cards can each be used twice, giving you a surprisingly deep range of tactical options despite the game's tiny footprint.
 
Combat uses a die plus a modifier table with both systems improving as your character develops throughout the campaign. Simplified enemy actions keep the focus on your decisions as you move through each scenario, defeat monsters, complete objectives along with uncover the next part of the story.
