Plan a journey across the globe in Expedition: Around the World, a route-building family board game where three shared expeditions race across branching paths in search of remarkable archaeological sites. Choose your routes carefully, claim valuable discoveries and use clever opportunities to build the highest-scoring expedition.
 
The game is played on a beautifully illustrated world map with three expeditions travelling along a network of interconnected routes. On your turn, place plastic arrows to determine where an expedition moves giving you control over which paths each journey follows. The challenge is finding routes that help you reach the locations you need without creating the perfect opportunity for another player.
 
Each player receives private Site cards, while additional public Sites are available to everyone. When an expedition reaches a location matching one of your cards you score that discovery. Because all players influence the same three expeditions, a route chosen for your benefit can unexpectedly deliver a valuable site to a rival.
 
The map also contains special spaces that can change the pace of your journey. Landing in certain locations grants an immediate extra turn while others provide Bonus Action cards that can be saved for a later moment when their effect could make the greatest difference.
 
The game ends when a player scores all of their Site cards, triggering the final scoring. Having the most completed discoveries is not enough on its own, so considering every route, opportunity along with tactical move is the only way you can truly work towards the highest total.
