Take on the role of an intrepid investigator, explore a mysterious island, then document its bizarre flora and fauna before your rivals can claim the best discoveries.
 
Each turn, add a Terrain card to the growing island, choosing where to place it to shape the landscape. Cards can even cover previously placed terrain meaning the island is constantly evolving as new discoveries reshape the environment. Once your terrain is positioned, place one of your seven Flora or Fauna tokens onto it.
 
Every species has its own scoring conditions based on the surrounding landscape. The strange Pigehorse, for example benefits from a longer coastline, encouraging you to consider how each terrain card could improve the creatures already under your control. Look beyond the space directly beneath your token to spot combinations that could produce a much stronger final score.
 
Because the island changes throughout the game, an excellent position at one moment may become far less valuable after another player alters the landscape. Plan ahead, adapt your discoveries and use the terrain to create the surroundings your species need to thrive.
