In 1920s Scotland, a mysterious séance brings together a group of mediums with one extraordinary task: uncover the truth behind an unsolved murder. Mysterium is a semi-cooperative mystery board game where one player becomes the ghost, communicating only through strange, dreamlike visions while the other players work as mediums to decipher the clues.
 
Over seven rounds, the mediums must determine which suspect, location and murder weapon belong to their individual case. The ghost cannot speak or explain the meaning behind the visions, leaving the team to interpret beautifully illustrated cards, spot hidden connections, discuss theories and then decide which clues point towards the truth. Every image could hold an important detail, though not necessarily where you expect it.
 
As the investigation develops, players can use their clairvoyancy to support or challenge the deductions of fellow mediums. Successfully identifying the correct suspect, location and weapon moves a medium closer to the final revelation. Fail to uncover the necessary clues before the seventh hour expires however and the ghost's story may remain buried forever.
 
Once every medium has solved their personal case, the final séance begins. The ghost reveals a final vision to help the group determine which reconstructed murder scenario is correct. Deduction, intuition, careful observation and a little supernatural inspiration will be essential if you are going to expose the culprit.
