Each round, players secretly choose a movement card, then reveal their choices at the same time. The number on each card determines the swimmer’s position, with higher values moving towards the front of the line. Matching numbers create a tense stand-off because tied swimmers stay exactly where they are, potentially leaving someone else exposed to the shark.
 
The swimmer at the back of the line suffers the consequences, losing a limb to the hungry shark before being sent to the front. That temporary escape is rarely enough to relax because the race immediately begins again. Watch what your opponents played previously, predict their next move then decide whether to play it safe or gamble on a risky card.
 
As the swimmers are picked off, the pressure builds until only two remain. At that point, the swimmer leading the line claims victory. Every round becomes a battle of nerve as players bluff, anticipate one another plus try to avoid becoming the next snack.
