Welcome to 21st Century Catan where the struggles between the benefits and environmental issues of fuel supplies are just as hotly contested as they are in real life! With the growing threats surrounding fossil fuel pollution, leaders are looking towards investment into cleaner energy technology but with the financial pressures of the 21st Century, will the price be worth it for the cleaner and greener future it promises?
 
In Catan: New Energies, you'll play over a series of turns until 1 player earns 10 victory points or you run out of event discs to draw. On your turn, you'll carry out 4 phases, beginning with the event phase where you'll draw a new event disc from the bag and resolve it's effect. Then you'll move onto production by rolling the 2 dice and all players with a town, city or power plant on a hex with the sum of the 2 dice gathers resources. Once all resources are collected, move onto the action phase where you can trade, build and develop before ending your turn and passing the dice and event bag to the next player. Once the game end is triggered, the player with 10 victory points is the winner or the player with the most if the event bag ran out before this was achieved.
