On each turn, place a path tile onto the garden board connecting route segments to shape the journeys of nearby butterflies. Unlike many path-building games, nobody owns the routes they create, so every tile you place can benefit another player just as easily as yourself. Think carefully about where each path leads, especially when several butterflies are moving through the same area.
 
As soon as a new route connects with a butterfly, it immediately travels as far as possible along that path. This keeps the board constantly changing, giving everyone visible information about where the next opportunity may appear. Pink butterflies are worth 2 points, Blue butterflies score 1, while the rare Purple butterflies are worth 3, making each movement potentially decisive.
 
There is one dangerous twist: if your path causes two butterflies to collide, both are removed from the garden. A seemingly helpful route can therefore destroy valuable scoring opportunities, forcing you to weigh every placement carefully.
 
When a butterfly reaches a flowerbed controlled solely by one player, that player claims it. Shared flowerbeds can reward both owners, creating another tactical race for the most valuable creatures. Once every butterfly has been collected or removed, final scoring reveals who has created the most successful garden.
