During the Day phase, develop your village by selecting cards that add buildings, strengthen your defences or bring powerful Heroes into your settlement. Placement is crucial because vulnerable buildings can become prime targets once the creatures arrive. Build a layout that protects your villagers while creating weak points your neighbours may be forced to defend.
 
When night falls, the Creature cards are divided among the players, creating a tense game of risk management. Keep threats your defences can handle, then send more dangerous monsters towards rival villages where their weaknesses can be exploited. Every creature becomes a tactical decision, since the wrong threat at your gates can cause devastating losses.
 
As the creatures attack, exposed buildings plus villagers can be destroyed, changing the shape of your settlement before the next round. With only two rounds to establish the strongest village, every construction decision matters. Recruit the right Heroes, reinforce vulnerable areas then prepare for another brutal night.
 
Once the final attack is over, count your surviving villagers plus the creatures you have successfully tamed. The player with the strongest surviving population claims victory.
