Win the Princess’s favour with Love Letter, a fast-paced family travel card game where deduction, bluffing as well as clever card play can turn a single draw into a royal triumph. Recruit trusted members of the court, outwit your rivals then find a way to deliver your secret message to the Princess.

Each round, players hold just one card before drawing another on their turn. Choose one card to play, then use its character ability to learn information, force an opponent to reveal their hand, protect yourself or disrupt another player’s plans. Every character has a unique role, making even the smallest hand a source of powerful decisions.

The aim is to survive each round while holding the highest-value character or use special effects to eliminate opponents before the round ends. Successfully getting your letter to the Princess earns a Favour token, moving you closer to becoming her trusted confidant.

The 2025 edition features artwork by Andrew Bosley, screen-printed tokens plus the two characters introduced in the expanded edition, allowing games for up to six players. The Chancellor lets you draw extra cards before returning two to the deck, while the Spy can reward a Favour token when you are the only player to play or discard one during the round.

With simple rules, rapid rounds, hidden information and plenty of player interaction, Love Letter is an ideal family board game for holidays, travel, parties or quick games between longer games.
