It is the Queen's banquet and all want to leave a good impression and will do whatever they can to get there.
 
In a game of Courtisans you are trying to win the favour of the queen. Each turn you will receive and play three cards. One is played at the Queen's table to sway a family's influence while the two other cards are played in yours and an opponents domain which can be worth positive or negative points depending on the families status at the end of the game. You must be savvy with playing your three cards  if you want to walk away with the most points.
