Delve into the Flora and fauna of the North Western Pacific in Cascadia: Rolling Rivers.
In this roll and flip and write game, you’ll need to collect wildlife from your dice rolls, match them into habitats and build up your environment to score points and work towards winning the game! Played over a series of rounds, you’ll begin each round by rolling wildlife dice both your 2 personal ones and the 4 central ones. All players play each round simultaneously and track their collected wildlife with their tally sheet. You’ll need to plan your turns carefully though as you can only collect 1 wildlife type each turn based on what the dice roll! Make the most of nature tokens to change the results and then once you’ve collected your wildlife, see if you can complete a habitat by sending the required animals from your collection to their habitat to build up your environment and collect a variety of bonuses. At the end of each round, the habitats will move along 1 space , revealing a new card and discarding any that go past the 4th collection card. Once the 20th card is revealed, complete the round and move onto final scoring. The player with the most points wins.
With 4 different maps and 30 habitats, you won’t be short on variation to your games especially considering only 20 habitats are used in each game. You can even combine Rolling Rivers with Rolling Hills for even more variation!
Rolling Rivers is focused on the Ravines of Cascadia, with dice, cards and maps to reflect this and it also includes the Forces of Nature Mini-Expansion for additional completion cards as well as introducing assymetric forces of nature player power cards which can be added to any of the Cascadia: Rolling series games for additional start of game bonuses and a one time use action unique to each player!
Will you collect the right wildlife you need to win this game?
